In 2011 I was invited to participate in the Urban China Advisory Meeting at the Asia Society in New York City, a one-day conference with the objective of generating discussion in order to provide guidance for the creation of teaching materials for the high school level. I presented thoughts on how data visualization could inform our perspective on cities—their growth, their dynamics and their issues.
