Shareable Cities Conference

In 2014 I was invited to speak at the Shareable Cities Conference at the Old Air Force Base in Taipei, organized by Jason Hsu of TEDxTaipei. My talk focused on the concept of ‘Metacities’, cities that exist at the intersection of real-time data and the physical, built environment, and how understanding these metacities can help us understand the impact of the sharing economy on how we live today. After the presentation I taught an introductory workshop to Processing, an open-source programming language, and how to use it for visualizing real-time data.
